Agnes Marchione

Agnes Marchione is an accomplished classical clarinetist with a dynamic and illustrious career.  As an orchestral player, Agnes has performed with some of the top orchestras in North America including the New York Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra and Baltimore Symphony.  She also plays with The Iris Orchestra  in Memphis, Tennessee, Delaware Symphony, Delaware Opera, and is a member of The Knights Chamber Orchestra based in Brooklyn, NY.  

Agnes has a strong connection to teaching students of all ages and abilities.  For several years she was involved with a Philadelphia based El Sistema program called Tune Up Philly.  Agnes held a one year position as clarinet instructor at Kennesaw State University outside of Atlanta, GA.  She also teaches privately at her home.  

Educated at the Curtis Institute of Music and the University of Southern California, her primary teachers include Donald Montanaro and Yehuda Gilad.  

Agnes resides outside of Philadelphia with her husband, her three children, and her dog.
