Miranda Sielaff
A native of St. Paul, Minnesota, violist Miranda Sielaff plays and tours internationally with several ensembles including The Knights and String Orchestra of New York City (SONYC). Highlights of the last few years include performances at 92Y, Tanglewood, Ravinia and Carnegie Hall with The Knights, and at Carnegie Hall with Jacob Sacks and Friends. Miranda is featured on recordings with The Knights, Ingrid Laubrock, Carlo Costa, Jacob Garchik, and SONYC. She is on the faculty of the Diller-Quaile School of Music where she teaches music and performs with Classical Access, a program that presents interactive string quartet performances at public schools and senior centers. She also leads Gowanus Soundwalks. Miranda holds degrees from Rice University and The Juilliard School, where she studied with Karen Ritscher and Karen Tuttle.
